Day 1. Arrival at Entebbe Airport and Hotel transfer.

On arrival at Entebbe Airport you will received by our representative, your driver/guide who will brief you about this 16 day Rwenzori Mountain climbing safari. You will then transfer and check in  to the service Lake Heights Hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 2. Transfer to Kasese.

After breakfast we will start your journey west wards to Kasese driving through traditional homesteads and tea plantations of Fort Portal. Driving along the foot hills of Mountain Rwenzori, arriving in the afternoon and check in to the service of Hotel Margherita for dinner and overnight.

Day 3. Mt. Rwenzori. Day one, Nyakalengeja – Nyabitaba. Dinner and overnight at Nyabitaba Hut

Day 4. Mt. Rwenzori, Day two, Nyabitaba – John Matte, dinner and overnight at John Matte Hut

Day 5. Mt. Rwenzori. Day three. John Matte – Bujuku Hut for dinner and overnight.

Day 6. Mt. Rwenzori. Day four. Bujuku Hut – Elena Hut for dinner and overnight.

Day 7. Mt. Rwenzori. Day five. Elena Hut – Margherita peak dinner and overnight.

Day 8. Mt. Rwenzori. Day six Margherita – Kitandara for dinner and overnight.

Day 9. Mt. Rwenzori. Day seven. Kitandara Hut – Guy Yeoman Hut for dinner and overnight.

Day 10. Mt. Rwenzori. Day eight. Guy Yeoman Hut – Nyakalengeja, for dinner and overnight at Margherita. (Kasese)

Day 11. Kasese – Mweya, Queen Elizabeth National Park

After a relaxed breakfast we transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park arriving in the early afternoon and check in to the service of Mweya Safari Lodge, have lunch, relax around and later in the afternoon go for a game drive towards the Kasenyi plains in search for wildlife which includes the Elephants, Buffaloes, Waterbucks, Kobs, Wathogs, Hyenas, Lions and Leopards among others. The Park also offers more than 612 bird species probably the highest concentration of bird life in any Park in the World. We later come back to the Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 12. Chimp Trekking, Queen Elizabeth National Park.

The day begins early as we drive towards Kyambura Gorge with our packed breakfast and go for the Chimpanzee Trekking in the Riverine Gorge. This normally takes about three hours. We later come back to the Lodge, have lunch, relax around and later in the afternoon go for the boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel for yet another but different view of wildlife at close quartos’ as they cool off in the water of the Channel. It also offers a good view of hundreds of water birds enjoying the Park’s natural gifts. We come back to the Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 13. Mweya – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast we get out of the Park with a mini game drive and transfer Bwindi Impenetrable National Park passing through the Ishasha sector where the tree climbing Lions can be seen according to the luck of the day. We arrive at Bwindi in the evening and check in to the service of Gorilla Resort for dinner and overnight.

Day 14. Gorilla Trekking, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

After breakfast we go to the Park offices at about 07:45am for registration and briefing before we start the highlight of our safari, the Gorilla Trekking. I believe the hikers will like this although it may some times be strenuous as you walk in muddy conditions and some times with rain over head. This may take about 2-8 hours before you encounter any Gorilla. You come back to the Resort for dinner and overnight.

Day 15. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park – Entebbe.

After breakfast we transfer to Kampala through the rolling hills of Mbarara with en-route lunch at Agip Motel Mbarara, arriving in Kampala in the evening and check in to the service of Serena Hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 16. Kampala City Tour – Departure.

After breakfast we drive around Kampala looking at some of the attractions like the Uganda Museum, the Martyrs Shrine, the cathedrals, the Baha’i Temple, Kasubi Tombs and the local markets among others. We have lunch and transfer to the airport for your departure home, according to the time of your flight.
