4 Day Rwanda Chimp Trekking Tour

Day 1:  Arrival in Kigali at Kanombe International Airport

Upon your arrival at Kanombe International Airport in Kigali, you will be met by a representative from Terrain safaris who will welcome you and transfer you to your respective Hotel in Kigali for dinner and overnight stay (Hotel Chezlando/Hotel Mille Collines).

Day 2: Depart for Nyungwe Forest National Park

After an early morning breakfast, transfer to Nyungwe forest national park, en route visiting the traditional palace of Rwanda’s Former King in Nyanza. Drive past green fields of tea scattered on the hillside slopes along the winding roads in the areas surrounding Nyungwe Forest. You will arrive in Nyungwe in the afternoon and check in to the service of  Gisakura Guest House/Nyungwe Forest Lodge (FB) for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking in Nyungwe Forest National Park

After breakfast at the lodge, you will go for the chimpanzee tracking activity with in the forest. You will set out when its still dark like 5:00am in the morning and reach the area where the chimpanzees are found with in the forest when its already day like at 6:00am. Take your time and watch the chimpanzees. Besides the Chimpanzees, you look out for other primate species like the Angola colobus monkeys, forest birds, reptiles and butterflies. Return for lunch, relaxation, dinner and overnight at Gisakura Guest House/Nyungwe Forest Lodge.

Day 4: Return to Kigali and departure

After breakfast at the Guest house or lodge, you will drive back to Kigali. En route you will visit the cultural museum in Butare. Continue and arrive in Kigali in time for Lunch. Drop off will be at your Hotel or transfer you to the Airport for your flight back home.
