Day 1; Arrival at Kanombe Airport – Transfer to Nyungwe Forest NP.
Arrival at the Kanombe International airport Kigali or start from your Kigali overnight Hotel for your safari to Nyungwe forest. Your trip takes you through some of the most magnificent scenery before getting to Nyungwe for Overnight and dinner at the Gisakura Guest House.
Day2; Angola Colobus Monkeys – Nyungwe Forest National Park.
After our morning breakfast, we will hit the forest with the ranger guides to spend the morning trekking in the forest in search of Black and White Colobus, Angola Colobus Monkeys and other wildlife in Nyungwe Forest. We later go back to our lodge, dinner and overnight at Gisakura Guest House.
Day 3; Chimpanzee Trekking – Nyungwe Forest National Park.
Rise early in the morning before starting your morning Chimpanzee trekking safari in Nyungwe. Later In the afternoon, the drive gets you to Kibuye reaching before dark for dinner and overnight at Kibuye Guest House.
Day 4; Transfer to Lake Kivu – Boat Cruise.
After a relaxed breakfast at our hotel, we will drive to Gishenye, Lake Kivu getting there in the early afternoon and in to the service of Kivu Sun Hotel, relax around or have an optional boat cruise, dinner and overnight at the Kivu Sun Hotel.
Day 5; Gorilla trekking – Volcanoes Forest National Park.
The begins early as we drive to Kinigi, at the park offices for briefing, then we start gorilla trekking activity. The trekking normally takes about 2 – 5 hours, depending on the movement of these great apes. And for conservation purposes, the time you spend with these gentle giants is limited to one hour. You later check in to the service of Hotel Le-Palme, have a relaxed evening, dinner and overnight.
Day 6; Back to Kigali – Departure.
We will have a relaxed breakfast and check out of the lodge for the transfer to Kigali. The drive from Kinigi through the rolling hills of Rwanda to Kigali, normally takes about 2 – 3 hours, depending on the nature of the traffic for that day. We arrive at Kigali in the afternoon and drive straight to Kanombe Airport, Kigali for your flight home.
