Overview:

A 3 day Rwanda private wildlife safari, which starts and finishes in Kigali. This safari takes you to Akagera National Park with its beautiful undulating plains, its woodlands and sprawling lakes and wetlands. The game in the park is steadily increasing, with elephant, Lion, Rhino, Leopards, buffalo, giraffe, hippo, crocodile and different antelope now being seen. Akagera has a good selection of Savannah birds and raptors, and is rich in waterbirds including papyrus endemics.

ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival Kanombe airport – Kigali

Upon your arrive at Kanombe (Kigali) airport, you will be received by our representative, your driver/guide who will brief you about your safari and drive to the east of Rwanda to Akagera National Park, bordering Tanzania. We will do an evening game drive in the park, searching for wildlife, that includes elephant, giraffe, buffalo, spotted hyena, hippo, and crocodiles. Overnight: Akagera Game Lodge

Day 2: Game Drives in Akagera National Park

After an early morning breakfast, we will Go for a game drive in the park, in search for wildlife that includes; Elephants, Buffaloes, Giraffe, Rhinos, Lawn-Antelope and a variety of bird species. We later come back to the lodge, relax around, have lunch and later in the afternoon we will go for a boat cruise . A canoe ride on Lake Ihema is very rewarding for seeing the large number of hippo, the huge Nile crocodile and birds. Overnight: Akagera Game Lodge

Day 3: Return to Kigali

After breakfast at the lodge, we will go for an early morning game drive, through deferent game tracks, in search for what we might have missed in the previous game drives. We later have lunch and transfer to the airport, for your flight home.
