Your journey begins at Entebbe, followed by a drive to Lake Mburo National Park, where you will enjoy a game drive and nature walk in search of zebras, impalas, buffaloes, leopards, and other wildlife, with a stop at the Equator for photos and a fun water experiment.
Next, travel through the rolling hills of western Uganda to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to the rare mountain gorillas. Embark on a guided gorilla trek amid lush, misty forest, witnessing these magnificent primates in their natural habitat. Along the way, the forest offers opportunities to see other primates and an abundance of birdlife.
The safari concludes with a scenic drive back to Entebbe, with stopovers for lunch, refreshments, and craft shopping. This adventure offers a perfect balance of wildlife, nature, and cultural experiences, leaving you with memories to last a lifetime.
Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe – Lake Mburo National Park.
On arrival at Entebbe airport, you will be received by our representative, your driver/guide and drive to Lake Mburo National Park, having a stopover at the Equator for the water experiment, photos and lunch depending on the time of arrival then later proceed on to the Park entering with a mini game drive in search for wildlife that includes the Zebras, Impala, Topes, Water buck, Eland, Klipspringers, Dwarf Mongoose, Warthogs, Bush Bucks and Leopards among others. We later check in to the service of Eagle’s Nest for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Lake Mburo – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
After an early morning breakfast, you will do a nature walk in the park and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park, enroute, stopover for lunch at Igongo Cultural Centre or Agip Motel. We later drive on through the rolling hills of Mbarara and Kabale as we head to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, where the rare and endangered mountain gorillas are found. We shall arrive at the park in the evening and check-in to the service of Buhoma community Rest Camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
After a great night in a natural environment, you wake up to a beautiful view of the sunrise over the misty Bwindi Impenetrable national park, have breakfast and at about 7:45am, with our packed lunch, we move to the park offices for registration and briefing before we start the gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.
Gorilla trekking can be quite exciting in that sometimes you climb steep hills under muddy conditions and it’s unpredictable how long this will take because it always depends on the movement of these great Apes. There are many factors that determine the movement of the mountain gorillas and food availability is one of them, but generally the activity can take between 2 to 8 hours. Later head back to the lodge, relax and have dinner before going to bed for a much-deserved night rest.
Day 4: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest – Entebbe
After breakfast we drive back to Kampala, with stopovers/toilet breaks at Kabale and Mbarara, lunch en-route. We shall also have a stopover at the Equator for another chance to enjoy the water experiment and look at the craft shops. We then proceed on to Entebbe Airport for your flight home. Or if you would like, we could arrange for you accommodation for the night at an extra cost.
