Day 1: Depart for Nyungwe Forest National Park

On arrival at Kanombe Airport, Kigali you will be received by our representative, your experienced driver guide who will brief you about your safari and transfer you to Nyungwe forest national park en route visiting the traditional palace of Rwanda’s Former King in Nyanza.

Drive past green fields of tea scattered on the hillside slopes surrounding Nyungwe Forest. This drive may take you approximately 6 hours. Dinner and overnight at Gisakura Guest House/(For upgrade you can use Top View Hotel/ Nyungwe Forest Lodge) (FB)

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking in Nyungwe Forest National Park

After a fully served breakfast at the lodge, with your packed lunch, you will go for the chimpanzee tracking activity with in the forest. You will set out when its still dark like 5:00am in the morning and reach the area where the chimpanzees are found with in the forest when its already day like at 6:00am.

Take your time and watch the chimpanzees. Besides the Chimpanzees, you look out for other primate species like the Angola colobus monkeys, forest birds, reptiles and butterflies. Return to the lodge in the afternoon, relaxation, dinner and overnight at Gisakura Guest House/ (For upgrade you use Top View Hotel/ Nyungwe Forest Lodge) (FB)

Day 3: Return to Kigali and departure

After breakfast at the Guest house or lodge, you will drive back to Kigali. En route you will visit the cultural museum in Huye/Butare, with en-route lunch, continue and arrive in Kigali in the afternoon, drop off will be at your Hotel or transfer you to the Airport for your flight back home.
