Day One: Transfer to Tarangire National Park & Afternoon Game Drive.

After breakfast at your hotel in Arusha, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional driver-guide and begin your journey to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most captivating wildlife destinations. The approximately two-hour drive takes you through the scenic countryside, passing traditional Maasai villages, rolling landscapes, and expansive farmlands, offering a fascinating introduction to rural Tanzania.

Upon arrival at Tarangire National Park, renowned for its ancient baobab trees and large concentrations of African elephants, you will proceed to your lodge to check in and enjoy a leisurely lunch while taking in the tranquil surroundings.

In the afternoon, embark on your first exciting game drive through the park’s diverse ecosystems of open savannah, seasonal swamps, acacia woodlands, and the life-giving Tarangire River. This remarkable habitat supports an impressive variety of wildlife, including large herds of elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, impalas, waterbucks, elands, and the graceful fringe-eared oryx. Predators such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, and spotted hyenas may also be encountered, while bird enthusiasts can delight in the park’s rich avifauna, with more than 550 recorded bird species.

As the golden afternoon light settles over the African wilderness, return to your lodge to relax and reflect on the day’s memorable wildlife encounters.

Day Two: Full-Day Game Drive in Tarangire National Park

After an early breakfast, you will depart with your packed lunch for a full day of wildlife exploration in the magnificent Tarangire National Park. Renowned for its vast elephant herds, iconic baobab trees, and diverse ecosystems, Tarangire offers one of Tanzania’s most rewarding safari experiences.

Accompanied by your experienced driver-guide, you will explore the park’s extensive network of game-viewing tracks, traversing open savannahs, acacia woodlands, seasonal wetlands, and the fertile Tarangire River, the park’s lifeline and a magnet for wildlife throughout the year. These varied habitats support an extraordinary diversity of animals, providing excellent opportunities to observe large herds of African elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, impalas, waterbucks, and elands. Predators such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, and spotted hyenas may also be encountered, depending on the day’s wildlife activity.

One of the park’s most striking features is its magnificent ancient baobab trees, some of the largest and oldest in Africa, which dominate the landscape and create spectacular photographic opportunities. Tarangire is also a paradise for bird enthusiasts, with more than 550 recorded bird species inhabiting its diverse environments.

At midday, you will enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic location within the park, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the African wilderness, before continuing your afternoon game drive in search of even more remarkable wildlife encounters.

As the sun begins to set over the savannah, you will return to your lodge to relax and reflect on another unforgettable day in the heart of Tanzania’s wilderness.

Day Three: Final Game Drive – Transfer to Arusha & Departure

After a leisurely breakfast, you will set out for a final morning game drive in Tarangire National Park, offering one last opportunity to experience the park’s remarkable wildlife and breathtaking landscapes. As the African bush awakens, keep watch for elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, antelopes, and, with a bit of luck, predators such as lions or leopards beginning their day. This final safari provides an excellent chance to capture memorable photographs and reflect on the incredible wildlife encounters enjoyed throughout your stay.

Following your morning exploration, return to the lodge to freshen up and enjoy an early lunch before checking out.

Thereafter, you will depart Tarangire National Park and begin the scenic drive back to Arusha. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to Arusha Airport in good time for your onward flight.
