Day 1. Arrival at Entebbe Airport.
Upon your arrival at Entebbe Airport, you will be received by our, your driver/guide and who will brief you about your tour program, then transfer and check in to the service of 2 Friends Beach Hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 2. Entebbe – Murchison Falls National Park.
After breakfast, we will begin our journey to Murchison Falls National park. This is a panoramic drive Northwards through the traditional homesteads of the famous Luwero Triangle. We will have a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino trekking and then lunch at Kabalega Dinners and later enter the park and visit the top of the falls where you can see the River Nile’s beauty perfected.
This is viewed in series from deferent points to the summit, sometimes with a spray cooling you from the heat of the day. Enjoy the sunset as you drive to your place of accommodation for dinner and overnight at Pakuba Safari Lodge.
Day 3. Game Drive & Boat Cruise – Murchison Falls National Park.
The day begins early with early morning breakfast and with our packed lunch, we start our game drive towards the Delta area, in search for wildlife that includes; Elephants, Buffaloes, Giraffes, Hartebeasts, Waterbucks, Oribis, Jackals, Hyenas, Lions and if you are lucky the leopards among others and a variety of bird species. We later go for the boat cruise at 2:00pm for yet another but different view of wildlife at close quarters as the animals cool off at the banks of the River Nile.
In the 17Kms cruise, the wildlife we expect to see includes the hippos, birds, crocodiles, Elephants, Kobs, Baboons and Bush-bucks as they enjoy the freshness of the mighty Nile. Come back to the lodge in the evening, dinner and overnight.
Day 4. Full Day Exploring Murchison Falls National Park.
After an early breakfast, you will take a boat and go fishing at the bottom of the World’s most impressive fall, Murchison Falls. Some of the fish species expected from this part of the Nile include; Tilapia, Cat Fish and Nile Perch among other fish, but also this sport-fishing boat trip exposes you to other game viewing as you do the fishing. We later go back to the lodge for lunch, relax around later go for another boat cruise towards the delta on this side of the Nile, we stand chances of seeing the rare Shoebill stock among other wildlife. We come back to the camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 5. Murchison Falls – Kibale National Park.
After breakfast, with our packed lunch we transfer to Kibale national park, driving southwards via Hoima and Fort portal, pass through traditional homesteads, farms and beautiful tea plantations. With en-route lunch and arriving in the evening and check in to the service of Primate Lodge Kibale for dinner and overnight.
Day 6. Chimpanzee Trekking at Kibale National Park.
After breakfast, we visit Kibale Forest National Park, which is reputed to have the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa. Enjoy a guided nature walk in the Tropical rain forest in search of the Chimpanzees, Red tailed monkeys, Black and white Colubus, Red Colubus monkeys and many others. The guides will always brief you on how to behave while with these apes. After lunch we take a walk in the Bigodi wetland sanctuary which is also a good experience. We comeback to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 7. Kibale – Queen Elizabeth National Park.
After breakfast, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park following the mystical Rwenzori Mountain ranges through Fort Portal and Kasese towns. Enter the park with a mini game drive and then check into the service of Bush lodge, have lunch, relax around and later go for the boat cruise on the Kazinga channel that connects the two lakes Edward and George. The two hours boat trip exposes you to prolific and colorful bird life that gives you an excellent platform for photography. Come back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 8. Full Day Exploring Queen Elizabeth National Park.
The day begins with a game drive towards the Kasenyi plains where you have an opportunity of viewing the parks diverse eco-systems, grassland plains, tropical forest, rivers, lakes, swamps and volcanic craters together with its abundant wildlife that includes elephants, buffaloes, Kobs, Warthogs, Bush-bucks, water-bucks and a variety of bird species. Come back to the lodge relax around, have lunch, and later go back for an afternoon game drive which have better chances of seeing cats in actions. Come back to the lodge for dinner and over night.
Day 9. Explore More of Queen Elizabeth National Park.
After an early breakfast, with our packed lunch, we drive through the grassland plains to Kyambura gorge for yet another but different experience of chimps trekking in the tropical rain forest in the 100 meters river gorge that harbors habituated chimpanzees, Black and White Colubus, Red tailed monkeys, baboons, a variety of bird life and none paying visitors to the gorge like the hippos, bushbucks, giant forest hogs and waterbucks among others.
We have our lunch and later go to Maramagambo forest and pay a visit to the bat (hunters) cave where we will have the opportunity of seeing millions of bats in their natural habitat, cobras, African rock pythons feeding on the Egyptian fruit bats and bat hawks among others all visiting the bat cave for a meal. We later go back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 10. Transfer from Mweya to Ishasha Sector QENP.
After breakfast, we drive to Ishasha the Southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park which is renowned for the famous tree climbing lions, arriving in the afternoon and check into the service of Ishasha Topi Lodge, have our lunch, relax around and later go for an evening game drive in search for wildlife that includes the topis, elephant, Buffaloes, Kobs, Leopards, Hyenas and climbing lions among others. Come back to the bandas for dinner and overnight.
Day 11. Ishasha – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
After a relaxed breakfast, go for the hanging tails after checking out the lodge. You know lions normally climb trees at around 11:00am when the sun is getting hot and that is one of the reasons why they climb. After the game drive, we transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable forest National Park with lunch en-route arriving in the evening and check into the service of Trekkers’ Tervan Cottages for dinner and overnight.
Day 12. Bwindi Gorilla Trekking.
After breakfast at around 7:45am we walk to the visitors information center for registration and briefing before we begin the Gorilla trekking which is one of the highlights of our safari. The spectacular impenetrable rain forest offers a dramatic steep landscape and is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. As we trek these endangered giant apes there are chances of seeing other resident wildlife like the Lhost’s Monkeys, black fronted clicker, Elephants and a variety of bird life among others.
The thrill of spending time observing the Gorillas is a rare moving, awesome and exciting adventure and due to conservation purposes, the time spent with these shy and peaceful apes is limited to one hour and this activity normally takes about 2-8 hours depending on the movement of these primates. We comeback to the lodge for dinner and over night.
Day 13. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – Lake Bunyonyi.
After a relaxed breakfast, we transfer to Lake Bunyonyi driving through Ruhija Sector of Bwindi and the little Switzerland of Africa known as Kigezi highlands with it’s terraced hillside and winding roads to Kabale, arriving in the afternoon and check into the service of Arcadia cottages, dinner and overnight.
Day 14. Lake Bunyonyi – Lake Mburo National Park.
After breakfast, enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Lake and its surroundings, take a boat cruise on the lake and tour some of its Islands and later transfer to Lake Mburo National Park, arriving in the evening and check into the service of Eagle’s nest, dinner and overnight.
Day 15. Lake Mburo National Park.
The day begins early as we go for the morning nature walk in Lake Mburo National Park. This is one of the best nature walks we have as we search for wildlife that includes Zebras, Impala, Buffaloes, Bohor Reedbuck, topis, Oribis, Hyenas, Eland (Africas Biggest Antelope) , warthogs, bush pigs and a variety of bird life. The walk normally takes 2 hours and only done with the escort of a ranger guide but very rewarding.
We come back to the lodge, have our breakfast, relax around and have lunch later at 2:00pm go for a boat trip on Lake Mburo in search of wildlife as they cool off on the shores of the lake. Here we also have chances of seeing the rare African finfoot among other birds.
Day 16. Lake Mburo National park – Mabamba Swamp.
Day begins early as we go for the morning game drive in search for wildlife that includes Zebras, impala, warthog, Bush-pig, Oribis,, Clipspringers, Bush-bucks, Buffaloes, elands and leopards among others plus a variety of bird life. We come back to the lodge and have our breakfast and later check out and en route lunch and then transfer to Entebbe, arriving in the evening and check in to the service of Nkima Forest Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 17. Mabamba Swamp, Departure.
After the early morning breakfast, we drive to Mabamba swamp and take a boat in search for the rare Shoebill stock and other water birds. We come back in the afternoon for lunch and later dropped at the airport according to the time of your flight back home.
